Atari Beethoven (19xx)(DuHamel, Bob)(US) The AMCSYNTH file on this disk is a›modified version of Ken Collier's›synthesizer for Atari Music Composer›files. It is identified by the word›SYNTHESIZER at the top of the screen›rather than MUSIC SYNTHESIZER for the›original player. It has been›modified to allow larger music files›and the default setting for note›decay has been changed to make›sustained notes sound better.››There are some problems playing my›long files with the synthesizer.›Some voices nearly drop out at times.›Also, when a sustained note with an›accidental (sharp or flat) crosses a›bar it will sometimes change to the›natural pitch. Fortunately, on all›of my music so far, this has caused›no dissonance so a casual listener›will probably not even notice.››The files play without problems with›the Atari Music Composer.››IMPORTANT: These files have been›converted to load into the Atari›Music Composer much faster than›normal. Do not resave them using the›Music Composer. Doing so will change›them to the normal format. With some›files, the normal format will take›more than a half hour to load. (Now›the longest takes little more than a›minute.››This disk has Beeathoven's piano›sonata No. 3 (Opus 2, No. 3). The›four movements are in separate files›named:›› BTVNSON3.1› BTVNSON3.2› BTVNSON3.3› BTBNSON3.4››To load a file into the synthesizer:››first, boot this disk then type DOS›or boot while holding the [OPTION]›key to get to the DOS utilities.››Next type [L] then AMCSYNTH;››Then type [R] and D:(file name);››Finally, type [L] to hear the music.››You can experiment with the sounds by›typing [P] and adjusting envelope›shape for the sounds. Most of these›files use two phrases for each voice.›Therefore, for example, to change the›sound for voice 1 you will have to›change phrases 1 and 5, for voice 2, phrases 2 and 6, etc.› Uruchamiamy: z DOS L (enter), D1:AMCSYNTH (enter)
